Ok, it has been waaaay too long since I have posted anything. So here's what you missed:
1. I am no longer a stay at home mommy. I went back to work at my old job in the GMI department doing data entry. It was so much harder than I thought to leave my little man. It has been a month now & is getting easier. I now get up at the ungodly hour of 5am & am at work at 6. Blah! If you ask me that early of a morning should be illegal :)
2. Carter got his 1st sickness at 9 months. We took him to have his 9 month/ Valentine's Day pictures done & he was not being his normal happy, smiley self. The next day, which was Superbowl Sunday, he got super sick. Ended up having a head cold AND a stomach bug. Mark & I both ended up getting it. It was NOT fun around here for a week.
3. On Valentine's Day Mark proposed :) I was beyond surprised. I came home from work to pink, red & white rose petals leading from the front door to the bedroom where Mark & Carter sat. After seeing this I still had NO IDEA what was about to happen. He had bought me some super yummy heart shaped chocolates from See's & I thought that was the sweet thing that he had done for me. I didn't even notice that he was dressed up. It wasn't until he actually started proposing that I realized what was going on. I would like to keep all the details to myself. But it was VERY romantic & he did pop the question while on one knee. It was the PERFECT proposal to me. Carter got the biggest smile on his face when it happened. So cute. Our wedding day is July 30th, 2011 & we are both sooo excited. There is a TON to do, especially in such a short time, but we have so many friends & family helping that everything is going very smoothly & moving along faster than I expected.
4. Carter is now sick. Again. 3 weeks after the 1st time. Now he has a virus & possibly croup. He has been so miserable. The 1st time around he would throw up & be smiling as soon as he was done. That is not the case this time.Last night we took him to an after hours care facility to make sure everything was ok. He has had a low grade fever, been a little lethargic, is coughing like crazy & has a runny nose. We have him on some meds for 5 days., We are pushing the fluids & trying to keep him around the humidifier as much as possible.. Thankfully he slept through the night last night. I am happy that he got a lot of much needed rest. Hopefully he will get over this fast.
5. And my Dad is out visiting from Michigan for a few days. It is SO nice to see him.
That's my past 4 weeks in a nutshell. So now I am not only balancing being a mom, but a working mom AND planning a wedding. There are NOT enough hours in the day for me to get everything I would like done. I will try & post more often. I just need to get into the groove of things. There will be a so much to update with everything going on as well as Carter's 1st birthday coming up in a very short 2 months!!!!
